10 to 12 million Brazilian Free-tailed bats make Frio Cave their home each summer, making it the second largest known population of mammals on Earth.  March through September, witness their awesome flight each night before sunset as the bats emerge to feed on local insects (and certain birds of prey also dive in to make dinner of a few of the bats).
