Proving its enduring excellence in both design and performance, the Ram 1500 was named Truck of Texas by the Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) during the annual Texas Truck Rodeo. Held at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas, the event showcased two days of rigorous testing across a variety of terrain, and Ram emerged as a dominant force, securing six major accolades. Stellantis brands as a whole captured eight of the 19 awards presented, reflecting widespread recognition across multiple vehicle categories.
The Ram 1500's sweep of awards was nothing short of commanding. It took home the title of Full-Size Pickup Truck of Texas for an impressive fifth year in a row, while the Heavy Duty Pickup Truck of Texas award marked its sixth consecutive win in that category. The Luxury Pickup Truck title was claimed by the Ram 1500 Limited, now a seven-time champion. Ram 1500 also received accolades for Best Performance and Highest Personal Appeal, affirming its strong emotional and dynamic impact on jurors.
TAWA writers/jurors were able to drive both the Ram 1500 Limited and the high-performance TRX and both impressed on and off road. Ram Limited performed seamlessly and is both stunning and comfortable inside, while the TRX is pure fun and performance. The combination the Ram 1500 lineup offers impressed our jurors and makes it the Truck of Texas.
