Chevrolet has unveiled an updated look for the 2022 Traverse, giving the popular midsize SUV a refreshed exterior design and a suite of advanced technologies aimed at enhancing comfort, connectivity, and safety. With an emphasis on modern styling and intuitive functionality, the 2022 Traverse offers a compelling blend of family-friendly features and premium details.
Fresh Exterior Styling Updates
The 2022 Traverse introduces a redesigned front fascia, complemented by updated grilles and a revised headlamp configuration. All models now feature standard LED headlamps and daytime running lamps, enhancing visibility and adding a modern visual signature. The rear of the vehicle also benefits from new LED taillamp designs, contributing to a sharper overall profile. In addition, Chevrolet has redesigned the roof rails and introduced four new wheel designs, allowing buyers to further personalize their vehicle's appearance. Power-folding, heated outside mirrors are now standard on RS, Premier, and High Country trims, and are also available on the 3LT. Trim-specific editions, such as the Redline Edition and the Midnight/Sport Edition, feature revised appearances, adding more bold styling options for LS and LT models. Fresh exterior colors include Northsky Blue Metallic (available on LS and LT), Silver Sage Metallic (available on LT), and Cherry Red Tintcoat, offered as a premium option.
New Connectivity and Interior Features
Inside the 2022 Traverse, enhancements to connectivity and driver information elevate the in-cabin experience. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capabilities are now integrated, streamlining device connectivity without the need for cords. An 8-inch-diagonal color driver information center is standard on Premier and High Country trims, providing crisp, at-a-glance vehicle data. Models equipped with the available Dual SkyScape sunroof now offer a rear power sunshade, improving comfort and light control for passengers in the second and third rows.
Expanded Driver Assistance Technologies
Chevrolet has significantly broadened the suite of standard safety and driver assistance technologies in the 2022 Traverse. Chevy Safety Assist, now included on all trim levels, features a comprehensive package that includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, and IntelliBeam automatic high beam control. Additional safety enhancements include Rear Pedestrian Alert, standard on RS, Premier, and High Country trims and available on LT, as well as the Safety Alert Seat, which is standard on Premier and High Country. Adaptive Cruise Control is now more widely available, coming standard on RS, Premier, and High Country, and offered as an option on LT Leather models.
