United Cajun Navy Benefit Concert to Support Disaster Relief

On August 31st, Hoot's Hall in Burleson, TX will host a family-friendly, all-day benefit concert to support flood recovery efforts across Texas. Produced by Hoot's Hall, with event support from Keeping It Country Live, the concert will raise funds for two critical organizations: the United Cajun Navy and the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

In recent months, the United Cajun Navy has been on the ground in Texas, delivering emergency aid, rescuing families, distributing supplies, and helping rebuild lives after devastating floods. With a 20-year history rooted in Hurricane Katrina, they've grown into the nation's largest volunteer disaster relief organization. Their work doesn't stop at emergencies, they also offer second chances by employing and housing formerly incarcerated individuals, giving them purpose through hands-on relief missions.

The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund was created to provide direct, local aid to families in one of the hardest-hit areas. Administered by trusted community leaders, the fund ensures fast, transparent, and impactful support for those most affected.

The all-day concert will feature performances from Hope on the Inside co-founders Kix Brooks and Briana Calhoun, alongside Chancie Neal, Brett Tyler, and Kimberly Kelly, with more artists to be announced, including Jesse Keith Whitley, Tony Jackson, Will Banister, Bryan White, Mark Collie and Jay Boy Adams. Hope on the Inside is also making a direct financial contribution to the United Cajun Navy to further their life-saving work in Texas and beyond.

Hope On The Inside (HOTI) is a groundbreaking nonprofit founded in 2024 by Briana Calhoun, a woman who transformed her life after incarceration alongside VP, Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn. Briana, having once been an inmate herself, has overcome seemingly insurmountable addictions and odds to dedicate her career to empowering others within the correctional system. By championing self-determination, love, and resilience, she helps individuals discover their inner strength and, ultimately, hope amid even the toughest circumstances. Now, joined by legendary global country superstar Kix Brooks and a growing collective of country artists, Hope On The Inside is set to expand its innovative outreach, using art, education, and entertainment to inspire genuine change across communities.

Hope on the Inside is not just about bringing hope to those incarcerated, it's about extending that same hope to every corner of our communities, especially where it's needed most. Right now, our hearts are with our neighbors in Texas who are facing devastating floods. We believe in showing up when it matters, and we're honored to stand with the United Cajun Navy in supporting the families and individuals who have lost so much. This is what community looks like, reaching beyond walls, borders, and state lines to help one another heal and rebuild.
