Tarrant Area Food Bank to Hold Seven Mega Mobile Markets This Week

WHAT: Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) will be holding seven Mega Mobile Markets this week, Tuesday through Saturday. The ability to increase the amount of Mega Mobile Markets per week is due to the deployment of the Army National Guard, who returned to TAFB last week. Last week's Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium was able to feed 2,514 families. TAFB is still seeking volunteers to assist with registration, traffic control, and food distribution at Friday's Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium. WHO: These events are designed to serve any and all residents of the Tarrant area community who are in need of food assistance, and anyone whose access to nutritious food has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHY: TAFB continuously strives to provide access to nutritious food to as many people as possible across 13 counties in North Texas. TAFB is committed to serving the Tarrant Area community in response to COVID-19. With the Mega Mobile Market being proven as an effective distribution model, food can be received by the community at a more rapid rate. The goal is to spread the word about these events as far as possible to ensure that no family goes hungry.
