Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will present Romeo and Juliet February 13-16, 2020. The timeless story of the young couple is told through the interlaced threads of the feuding Montagues and Capulets, the heavenly harp arpeggios of Friar Laurence's chorale, and the impassioned theme of the star-crossed lovers. Martinu's Fourth Symphony weaves together lyricism and intense emotions with resonances of the just-concluded war. And Principal Bassoon Ted Soluri solos in the world premiere of Chickasaw composer Jerod Tate's new concerto based on the bittersweet Native American love story of the Ghost of the White Deer. I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

Theatre Frisco presents the longest-running off-Broadway revue which has now been revised for the 21st century. This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as 'the relationship'. A DFW audience favorite, the 2018 version features two new songs, revised lyrics, and dialogue throughout the show to reflect dating in modern times. Perfect for its Valentine's Day opening.
