Built in 1986 by former funny car driver Billy Meyer as the first all-concrete, quarter-mile drag racing facility in the world, Texas Motorplex was the first National Hot Rod Association super track. The venue has been the location of many historic record-breaking firsts and hosts a number of drag races, car shows, swap meets, and live music concerts annually.
