Female Entrepreneurs: Building a Culture of Mentorship

Members of the local community gathered for a Working Women Forum featuring dynamic business leaders from North Texas.

Ladies (and gentlemen) from the local community gathered on Thursday night for a Working Women Forum sponsored by Ford Motor Company and hosted by Alex Sagcal, Manager of Community Relations for Sam Pack's Five Star Ford in Carrollton. Female Entrepreneurs: Building a Culture of Mentorship featured a speakers' panel consisting of dynamic business leaders from North Texas including:

  • Karen Hunt, Mayor of Coppell and Market President of Frost Bank
  • Amy Ogle, Controller at Sam Pack's Five Star Ford
  • Monica Cruz, Attorney and President of Cruz Family Law, P.C.
  • Sandra Velazquez, Founder and Editor of Hoy Dallas

Connecting female leaders, supporting the community, and addressing key challenges that women face in business and everyday life, the moderated event allowed guests to gain key insights from the group of professional women regarding the origins of their careers and the means by which they achieved a level of thriving in their respective careers.

A buffet dinner was preceded by a tour of the private Pack Auto Museum with over 100 antique vehicles from around the world which was open exclusively for attendees. All funds from the evening will benefit Metrocrest Services.
