2019 Ford Transit Connect Helps Take Business Ventures to the Next Level

Whether you're hauling people or products, this versatile cargo van or passenger wagon can help you get the job done.

Your business is growing, right? And I suppose you have boxes of product or groups of people that need to be moved from one place to another, correct? No problem; the Ford Transit Connect has you covered. Available in either a cargo van or passenger wagon with two wheelbase options and three trim levels, America's best-selling compact van has been updated with enhanced technology, comfort, and versatility.

Technology

Allowing drivers to maintain confidence on the road, Ford's Co-Pilot360 Technology delivers the most driver assist features in its class. Both versions come standard with pre-collision assist with emergency braking and side wind stabilization; while additional available features include blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and more. The standard rear view camera acts as an extra set of eyes by displaying a view of what's going on just behind the vehicle, and the in-dash navigation not only helps you get exactly where you're going in the most efficient manner, but can also find the nearest gas stations and suggest places of interest. And to make sure you stay updated and in the know while you're on the go, the vehicle's standard embedded 4G LTE modem with Wi-Fi supports up to 10 devices accompanied by an available class-exclusive wireless charging pad. A standard feature on XLT and Titanium trim levels and optional for XL is a 6.5-inch floating touch screen capable of running SYNC® 3 with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Comfort

Within the cabin, the Transit Connect offers upgraded front seating for enhanced comfort for all day long. Offering best-in-class seating flexibility with more available configurations than any other small van, the roomy interior can be arranged to accommodate five, six, or even seven passengers when outfitted with the class-exclusive third tow seating. Small wheelbase models come with a second row bench seat, while long wheelbase models provide either second row bucket seats with a pass-through to the third row or a second row bench seat with third row bucket seats. And when you need to pull a trailer with even more cargo space for business or personal equipment, the Connect offers an impressive towing capability of up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Versatility

With its compact size and ability to quickly zip around town, the city-friendly Transit Connect easily navigates crowded streets and maneuvers though tight spaces with responsive on-street performance and efficient low-rpm highway cruising. Loading and unloading are also a breeze with convenient best-in-class standard dual-sliding side doors along with a choice of 180-degree 50/50 swing-out rear cargo doors or a rear lift gate. To help reduce fuel consumption and thereby lower operating costs even more, the Connect also delivers best-in-class EPA-estimated highway and combined fuel economy ratings. Its 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline direct injection engine with auto start-stop paired to a new eight-speed automatic transmission achieves 24 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg combined.
