Jimmy Wallace Guitars Hosts Kick Off to Dallas International Guitar Festival

The guitar show features music-related commerce, concert performances, and promotion of young new artists.

Not only has Jimmy Wallace been an established career musician for decades, he is also a guitar collector, dealer, and vintage expert with 40 years experience. Selling vintage, new, and used guitars, he owns and operates Jimmy Wallace Guitars located at 514 Main Street in Garland, Texas. This creative collaboration with Gibson is part of Wallace's Life Pursuit of Tone, and is a veritable treasure trove of available guitars within a museum-like collection of memorabilia paying tribute to American craftsmanship and design.

The downtown shop was the location of a recent kick-off event for Dallas International Guitar Festival which Wallace started in 1978. The show has been instrumental in music-related commerce and annual concert performances as well as the promotion of young new artists including the annual Young Guns of Guitar 10 Under 20 competition.

This year's Dallas International Guitar Festival will be held April 30 through May 2 at Dallas Market Hall with tickets ranging from $10.00 to $90.00. From capos to concerts, the Dallas International Guitar Festival seems to have a bit of everything for those who play music as well as those who just love to hear it. The event showcases live musical performances on multiple stages and hundreds of new, used, and vintage guitars and accessories from manufacturers like Gibson, Peavey, and Marshall along with items from individual collectors, local and regional music shops, and nationwide mega retailers.
