FnG Eats, the brainchild of chef/owners Bob Stephenson and Carlos Arevalo, is scheduled to open at Keller Town Hall in early August 2012. The chef-driven, comfortable and relaxed “American grill” will offer lunch and dinner service, weekend brunches, box lunch take-out, and eventually move in to weekday quick breakfast service. The menu will feature fresh food brought to the kitchen in a Red Radio Flyer wagon from the nearby Keller’s Farmers Market, along with product from other local food providers.
A big helping of home town hospitality will also be on the menu at FnG according to the chefs. Folks sitting at the kitchen bar may even be asked to sample a new creation by the chef-de-jour at work in the open kitchen. Described as upscale comfort food, offerings will change with the seasons based on product availability, Keller Farmers Market offerings, and chef inspirations. A long established chef in D/FW, Stephenson is perhaps best-known for his 15-year stint as executive chef at Cool River Café. Arevalo has been with Stephenson at Cool River for 14 years.
Designing their “hometown” restaurant with a sincere love of the Keller community, the chefs are vested on shining the spotlight on the up-and-coming dining scene in Keller and surrounding Tarrant County. The renovated space will seat a comfortable 100 guests, with additional patio dining. A 20 to 30-person meeting room space will also be available for use by local organizations or corporate groups, or for special party occasions.
