The Perot Museum of Nature & Science may be a year away from opening, but event reservations are now being taken for the year 2013, giving North Texans a first opportunity to book an array of gatherings at the new museum – from weddings and convention galas, to birthday parties and quinceañeras, to business meetings and bar mitzvahs.  Internationally renowned Wolfgang Puck Catering and its sister organization Real Delicious by Wolfgang Puck, the Museum’s exclusive catering partners, will offer a wide variety of menu choices and price ranges.

“Here’s a chance for your business, family or organization to host their events at what we believe will be one of the most fascinating venues in Dallas,” said Linda Murdock, director of sales for the Perot Museum of Nature & Science.  “Thom Mayne’s architecture and our wonderful exhibition halls will provide a stunning backdrop whether you’re ‘dining with dinosaurs’ in the Life: Then and Now Hall, amidst jewels in the Gems and Minerals Hall or hosting a birthday celebration in the education wing.”

Designed by 2005 Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne and his California-based firm Morphosis ... the facility boasts 11 permanent exhibition halls, a state-of-the-art exhibition gallery designed to host world-class traveling exhibitions and an elegant 297-seat theater with one of the most sophisticated digital projection and sound systems available.  Slated to open early 2013, the $185-million Perot Museum of Nature & Science is conveniently located in Victory Park adjacent to Downtown Dallas and near the Dallas Arts District, The Park, the West End Historic District, and near some of Dallas' finest hotels.

Amenities at the Perot Museum include:

  • A beautiful expansive glass-enclosed lobby featuring a Malawisaurus dinosaur with ample space for up to 320 guests for a seated dinner or up to 500 guests for a stand-up style reception.

  • A roof terrace where visitors can have an up-close experience of the Perot Museum’s sustainable roof feature while enjoying the stunning Dallas skyline.

  • A landscape design with three prominent water features on the outdoor plaza – perfect for sipping cocktails under the stars.

  • A 2,600-square-foot Gems and Minerals Hall – featuring over 200 archetypal mineral specimens from around the world – ideal for an intimate seated dinner for up to 140 guests.

  • A space for “dining with the dinosaurs” in the T. Boone Pickens Life Then and Now Hall, where guests can explore how life has changed through time with dazzling presentations of the Museum’s Alamosaurus and many more dinosaurs.  Accommodations are available for 160- guests for a seated dinner or up to 300 guests for a stand-up-style reception.

  • A flexible-space auditorium utilizing the most innovative audiovisual equipment.

Wolfgang Puck Catering, known for the cuisine at such noteworthy events as the Academy Awards® Governors Ball, has established an international reputation for customized service that “brings a restaurant-quality experience to a special-event setting.”  Wolfgang Puck Catering, working in partnership with Real Delicious, will maintain full-time offices and kitchens at the Museum, combining award-winning cuisine with flawless service and creative flair to design anything from a one-of-a-kind, exclusive experience to a birthday party with simple foods for picky pre-schoolers.

The Perot Museum will have an experienced event planning staff in place to assist in creating impeccable events tailored to a group's individual needs.  The rental fee includes the exclusive use of the reserved area, basic housekeeping and the use of the tables and chairs that the Museum owns.  Additional costs to be incurred will be security, discounted parking and catering.
