This Jerry Lee Lewis act-alike and sound-alike has the hair shakin', the smirk, and great all-around 'spazziness.'

Great Balls of Fire!  Goosebumps sprang up and feet went to tappin’ at the Hard Rock Café on Tuesday afternoon when four leading cast members of Million Dollar Quartet rocked the stage with a preview performance of the upcoming Dallas Summer Musicals show scheduled to hit Fair Park on March 6-18, 2012.  The smash-hit musical is inspired by the famed December 4, 1956 impromptu recording session at Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.  That evening became known as one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll jam sessions in history.

Featuring a score of hits (including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That's All Right,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Walk the Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On,” “See You Later Alligator,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Matchbox,” “Hound Dog” and more), Million Dollar Quartet brings you inside the recording studio for that legendary night with “an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations featuring an eclectic score of rock, gospel, R&B and country hits.”

Respecting the story (while letting the music speak for itself) and paying tribute (but not attempting to actually impersonate the rock ‘n’ roll greats), the actors/musicians portraying these icons on the national tour are:

Derek Keeling as Johnny Cash, Cody Slaughter as Elvis Presley, Martin Kaye as Jerry Lee Lewis and Lee Ferris as Carl Perkins.  Additional cast and crew include: Christopher Ryan Grant as the “Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” Sam Phillips, Kelly Lamont as Dyanne, musicians Billy Shaffer (Fluke, drums) and Chuck Zayas (Jay Perkins, bass), as well as Austin Cook, Scott F. Moreau, John Michael Presney, David Sonneborn, Alyssa Marie, and Billy Woodward.  The show is directed by Eric Schaeffer and features a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux.  The design team includes Derek McLane (scenic design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Kai Harada (sound design) and Chuck Mead (musical arrangements and supervision).
