Designed for adults as well as children, the LoneStar Storytelling Festival features performances by some of the nation's best-loved tellers. Event is held in conjunction with the Frisco Public Library Open House on Saturday where you can sample the library’s many free programs and resources such as electronic databases and e-book demonstrations, story time, puppet show, classes, etc.
“The evening concerts, for adult and children 10 and up, offer a variety of stories and storytelling styles. Saturday concerts during the day are for younger audiences and the whole family is welcome. The Festival in not another version of our story times for children, but performances by award winning, performers who make appearances at many storytelling festivals throughout the year both in the U.S. and internationally. … Kids are welcome at our daytime performances on Saturday which will also give families an opportunity to visit the library’s open house to sample programs and resources taking place that day. Our 8:00 performance is recommended for adults. If you want to bring the kids to this performance we recommend they be at least 10 years old.” LSF
Proceeds go to the Frisco Public Library Foundation’s endowment to enhance future library services.
