Aye lads and lassies! It’s the day o’ the wearin’ o’ the green! And what better way to ‘parade’ that style than down Greenville Avenue with thousands of others who choose to be Irish for the day with floats, entertainment, Irish music, dance, and plenty of green beer and Irish fare at local pubs.
Beginning in 1979 with a few vehicles and a quick trip down lower Greenville, this parade now hosts 100+ floats, draws close to 100,000 people, and is said to offer “something for everyone's taste, be it bad or good”. Parade route gets crowded, so arrive early.

The annual DDG is more than just another 5k run as it is the kick off of Dallas' St. Patrick's Day celebration.
