Between 1.5 and 2 million Mexican free-tailed bats will be flying early this year at around 8:00 PM.

Each evening during the summer months, visitors flock to Austin, Texas to watch America's largest urban bat colony fly out from under the Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge in search of food. Roadway Events has teamed up with leading bat experts, Bat Conservation International, to present Bat Fest to celebrate this event. Activities will include live music of over 20 bands on two stages, food and beverage concessions, arts and crafts, educational displays, and street performers. Estimated attendance is over 40,000.
