Steel Restaurant & Lounge, a fine restaurant featuring Indochine cuisine and sushi, is hosting its re-grand opening on April 27, 2017.  The party will go from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and celebrate the remodeled interior and new menu items created by Steel’s Executive Chef Tysun Thomas. Steel will be providing sushi bites, hosted bar, live DJ performance, raffles, photo booth and more for all the attendees.  Steel Restaurant is located at 3180 Welborn St, Dallas, TX 75219 and has been around since the 90s’, it’s owned by Mike Chen and managed by Cary Bass.

“We are thrilled to bring a refreshed look and vibe to one of DFW’s premier sushi destinations,” said General Manager Cary Bass. “I have been working with Steel’s team for eight years now, and a successful restaurant is more than a great food and service, although that’s important, but it also entails a sense of show, stagecraft and a building of community.”

Over past years Steel Restaurant has received a lot of press and recognition, but Steel’s core value is ‘never settle’, never stop improving and always go for the best. The remodeled look and refreshed spring menu shows Steel Restaurant always tries to satisfy its guests and keep up with current trends. The new Executive Chef Tysun Thomas started as a sous chef a couple years ago and in a short period of time advanced to the executive position. Chef Thomas is mostly excited about bringing to the menu new dishes, fresh ingredients and the latest trends and techniques of a Japanese kitchen.

“Besides our signature dishes, this spring we’ll offer fresh and light options like Sunshine Chicken Salad, Tuna Poke Bowl or Pad Thai,” said Executive Chef Tysun Thomas. “The Vietnamese “Shaken” Beef, which is melt-in-your-mouth beef tenderloin, wok-sautéed with onions, and our slowly roasted Seabass which is marinated in miso and sake are still in the offing, but we are trying to expand the menu with new favorites.”
