After a three-hour rain delay at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night, Verizon IndyCar Series drivers James Hinchcliffe, Josef Newgarden and Conor Daly entered the stands for an impromptu autograph session with fans which turned out to be a huge hit.
Hinchcliffe later posted on his Facebook page, " ... I ventured into the stands to thank the fans that stuck it out. Awesome reception!!! Thanks, Texas!!!"
The race has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 12, 2016, at 1:15 p.m. CST on NBC. Tickets for Saturday's race will be honored, and fans who can't make the rescheduled event will have a year to redeem their ticket for another race at the track (for equal or lesser value).
[Update: After a second rain delay on June 12, 2016, the race has been rescheduled once again and is set to resume on Saturday, August 27, 2016.]

Prior to the rain delay, the 30-ton, 40-foot-tall, fire-snorting T-Rex Robosaurus made its triumphant return to Texas Motor Speedway.
