The Wyler Aerial Tramway, operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, provides spectacular views of the rugged southwest Texas landscape. Located in Franklin Mountains State Park, the tramway complex spans 196 acres and is equipped with gondolas traveling along two 2600 foot 1 3/8" diameter steel cables lifting riders up 940 vertical feet above the boarding area. The summit station, Ranger Peak, is positioned 5,632 feet above sea level and offers an observation deck with 360-degree panoramic views along with pay-per-view high-power telescopes and a gift shop.
