Tips for Taking Your Date to a Concert

The energy of the environment and the vibe of the crowd guarantee that it will be a night that you both remember.

Tips for Taking Your Date to a Concert
Source: Globex Outreach | 9/6/17

Are you looking for a great night out for your date? Bored of the old traditional dinner and a movie? Why not do something entirely different and attend a concert? The spectacle of live music creates so many emotions and makes for an excellent way to get closer to your partner. If you both enjoy music and a good night out, then it's time to plan a concert date. Here are five tips you can use to plan the ultimate concert date experience.

Plan Your Evening Properly

The key to a fantastic evening is in the planning. Go through your local listings and check out which of your favorite artists are playing in town. There are hundreds of famous musicians, pop stars, and rock groups touring the US at any given time, so check out their itineraries. What kind of music do you and your partner enjoy? Do you prefer the heavy sounds of rock artists like Guns N' Roses or the fun pop sounds of Katie Perry? You can plan your date as a surprise and order your tickets in advance, or get your partner involved in the action and make your selection together.

Get the Best Prices on Tickets

Once you know which artists you want to see, check out a leading website that specializes in ticket sales for concert and sports tickets. Different artists charge different prices and some shows can sell out within minutes of opening. Check the site for availability and pricing and then decide on your final choice. Most sites will allow you to pay with your credit card and secure your tickets which are then sent to your electronically via email. On the night of the concert, just print your tickets out and take them to the gate, or store the email on your phone for an electronic reference.

Take an Uber & Bring a Power Bank

Driving to the concert is enough of a hassle but finding parking and then walking for miles to and from the concert is not very romantic. Skip all the noise and order an Uber to and from the concert. Let the Uber driver handle the traffic while you and your date get to know each other. The chances are that you will be taking plenty of photos at the concert, so take a power bank along to the gig so your device stays charged and you can order the Uber home.

Check Your Budget

Make sure that you have enough to cover all the evening's expenses. Drinks at the concert, dinner, transport and the inevitable band t-shirt that you will want to buy all cost money, so add up the costs and then plan on overspending by at least 10% to give yourself some leeway. The last thing you want to happen is to run out of money on your special date and have to borrow some from your partner when the dinner check comes to the table.

Plan Dinner

Dancing and singing along to your favorite band's songs can build up an appetite. Do a Google search before you leave to find a list of good restaurants in the immediate area to the concert venue. Make a reservation for after the show and then discuss the evening's festivities with your date over a good meal and a bottle of wine before ordering the Uber home.

The Final Note

Taking your date to a concert is an exciting night out on the town. The energy of the environment and the vibe of the crowd guarantee that it will be a night that you both remember.
